Hadi Humaidan has over 27 years of banking experience gained mainly in banking Operations and core banking systems implementations. Before joining Unicorn, Hadi worked for about 6 years at Investcorp Bank, Head Office in Bahrain, as Head of Operations, responsible for supporting all the bank’s five business lines; Asset Management, Private Equity, Real Estate, Technology investments, and Gulf Growth Capital, together with managing all investors and clients accounts, investment subscriptions, redemptions, and documentations review and processing, including KYC and AML compliance. Additionally, he managed the processing of all Treasury activities; FX, MM, Derivatives, and Islamic Murabaha transactions. His last assignment at Investcorp was the implementation of a new core banking system at the bank.
Prior to Investcorp, Hadi worked for Arab Banking Corporation, head office in Bahrain for 15 years. His last position was First Vice-President, Operations. His department consisted of several back-office units supporting all the bank’s activities; Treasury, Capital Markets, Islamic Banking, Loans and Syndications, Trade Finance, Customer Accounts services, Nostro Reconciliations and Investigations, and Internal Controls. Hadi was responsible for implementing SWIFT at ABC in 1987, when ABC was a pioneer in introducing SWIFT in the region. Hadi was entrusted by the bank’s management to ensure business continuity by leading the emergency transfer of ABC’s operations to its London branch during the Gulf war in 1991. His last achievement at ABC was the implementation of a new core banking system, automating all back-office functions across the bank.
Prior to ABC, Hadi served for 6 years at Credit Commercial de France, Bahrain as Operations Manager, being responsible for setting up the whole operations of this OBU since its launch in 1980 together with implementing a new core banking system. He played a key role in the successful and smooth unwinding of the OBU and the transfer of all the transactions on its books to its head office in Paris at the end of 1986.
Hadi has an MBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Hull, U.K.
